Secureforce has lost the Contract for Transperth Feb '08

Post by crewman »

Secureforce has lost it's 14 year contract as security provider for Perths Bus transport system.

The *new* provider of choice, with an undercut contract price is Wilson Parking/Security.

Cheers!

Perhaps i'm just naive but i must agree although i heard secureforce were at times heavy handed many of the people who cause all the trouble deserve to be stood up too and have someone get in their faces about the way they behave and although all of the wilson guards i speak to (mobile patrol officers and the guys that were driving up and down the kwinana freeway checking on the train station) are top blokes they really arnt recruited as hands-on so i will be interested to see how differently things are handled.

depends on how the guard is trained and how long he has been in the industry ive been in it for a little over 5years and don't have a problem gettin in someones face

and yes i know a lot of the guards atm don't speak good english but unfortunetly that is something we have to live with in a multicultural society

I wonder if wilsons will fit amber lights on the barinas haha or maybe secure force might do them a deal and sell the old vehicles to them on the cheap.

I agree, the difference will be immense in my opinion!

Although we love to hate Secureforce, it is a well organised and mostly professional collection of experienced officers keen to contribute to their industry.
What is lacking in todays work ethic is 'passion' and there is no doubt that secureforce staff have this quality towards their work.

In 'The old days' secureforce was looked towards as a security provider of choice when a site such as a shopping complex/transport station needed a clean up of it's problem/s.
You don't see that so much anymore.

I for one wish them all the best for the future.

(not and wasn't an employee!)
Cheers!

I see Wilson Driving around in Hyundai Getz's mostly. At least they are more fuel efficient :smt081
"VKI, NJ050 will you be attending the job?"
"Negative VKI, my desk is bolted to the floor".

Don't know the Getz's! They're sporty and they go quick  but anyway the survive getting me to the fire station and in the storms get me across perth from the hills to Stirling and back again!
Edit: Let me clarify that, I drive a 1.6L manual version, I've been led to believe the auto's have no balls so maybe those ones won't be too good.

isnt it funny how everyone baggs out secureforce and was soon as a company like wilson takes over they see how good secureforce really was.
perhaps we should appreciate things a little more.
sure they may put chev badges on their commodores but it doesnt effect the way they do their job.
and i am sure PTA wouldnt hire wilson security if they didnt think they were capable of doing the job but in my opinion secureforce are just set up better and are more capable.

just one person's opinion

Already summed up by crewman perfectly.
